Vocabulary - less common and idiomatic expressions for IELTS, CAE, CPE (TOEFL)

 

 1 - What type of books do you enjoy getting into?

2 - Do you know any bookworms?

3 - When was the last time you hit the books for an exam?

4 - What's generally true for children in your country in regard to reading.....

a - They have to be forced at gunpoint to read

b - You can get them to read, but need to offer some type of reward    as an incentive

c - A little bit of encouragement usually suffices

5 - Do you have easy access to a library?

6 - If you borrow books, do you return them before the due date? Are there hefty fines for those who don't?

7 - How much of the local library / one you know is devoted to computer space? Should it house more computers?

8 - Are libraries funded at a local level or at a higher level?

9 - What grassroots activities occur at the library?

10 - Do you think a library is a good place for private / extra-curricular tuition?
